Dreams

I dreamed of a man to have and hold me through the night
Dreaming that God would send to me Mr. Right.
I dreamed of walking together hand in hand,
And lying on beach all covered in sand.
I dreamed of watching the stars shoot across the sky,
And thinking that with you I could almost fly.
I dreamed of having children to watch them run and play,
And you and I tucking them in at the end of the day.
I dreamed of this man taking me to our place of rest,
And no matter the cost he would give us the best.
I dreamed of growing old and gray and him still at my side,
And no matter what we stayed together for the ride.
I dreamed that there is no way a make like this could be real,
Then it was morning and i could finally see,
He was peacefully sleeping, lying next to me.
