You've been my mother and father and I thank you for that
You have pulled me through my troubles you always had my back
I know I can be rebellious and sometimes lose control
I keep so much stuff balled inside me and I try not to show
All the struggles deep inside me I don't want to burden you
All I want is you to be happy but inside I feel blue
I am glad that you stay with me and never turn your back
If you were to ever leave me my side, I don't know how I'd act
What I'm really trying to tell you is I treasure your love
And I will always pray that you are protected from the man up above
I know sometimes I don't show it but I appreciate what you do
And I'm thankful God blessed me with a mom like you
