Teen Poems
The teen
quote says it all, “The biggest room in the world is the room
for improvement.” Teen poems show how teens face one of their
most pivotal points their lives. There are so many
life lessons to learn as a teen.
Teen poems generally have themes in
love poetry, sad love poems,
depression poetry, and
lost love poems. Teens deal
with drama in social networking and family. There are struggles
to overcome. Peer pressure sometimes becomes overwhelming for
them and they express their emotions through their teen poems.
Teens are often misunderstood and many
don’t see them for their creativity but clearly is revealed in
teen poems. From life poems,
love poems, to
depression poems,
teenage life has a plethora of
emotions, situations, and challenges that are expressed through
a teen’s eyes. Their gift of fresh creativity is exemplified in
teen poetry.
The teenage years are often times a
struggle because it is also the turning point in which the
transition into adulthood from adolescents occurs. More life
responsibilities are taken on by teens, leaving with many
complex emotions to challenge in their maturity. Teen poems
share the inner most passions in their poetry and tell stories
of all aspects of life’s journey through the eyes of a teen.
Teen poetry serves as an opportunity for teens to flourish and mature, blossoming to adulthood. Teens struggle with many of life’s lessons and find themselves on top. Society deems teens with many more responsibilities than before. As shown in teen poetry many find writing as a tool to gather their thoughts and mixed emotions into great proverbs for not only themselves but many times forgotten wisdom for us in life’s saga. The dramas that teens face are shown in teen poetry with every aspect of life’s flight, giving way to their ultimate formulation of who they will become as adults. They will take what they have learned to become stronger in future tests, making teen poetry a great method of understanding them and ourselves. Whether it is love, joy, or despair, many find their haven in writing teen poetry. In gathering their scattered thoughts and emotions, filtered through a pen and paper they see what great feats they have accomplished in their prime years of teen hood to take with them the lessons of life for the future.

JUBILANT FATHER
His face is like a sun, warms the moon beside him.
She´s grown full; tonight begins the waning.
The tide pulls through her very bones,
her form aches as each wave crests.
The earth pulse, heavy, blood warm within her
Beats new chords, old sun god chants.
"You are the first mother and the last,
all spring flesh has traveled through you."
Aztec plumed and gold beaded,
your priest kneels at the holy alter,
gathers each salt pearl shed, nectar for his sacrament.
You are the temple,
we pilgrims swept through the gates,
bent figures know the scent and petals of your presence,
spread our arms to harvest blossoms,
and your priest, sun struck, kneels beside you.
