A Time To Laugh

© By Araceli S.

There is a moment of pure joy
That seems to cut out troubles in half
And we forget all burdens
And that is when we laugh

When I am at my summer camp
Surround by my friends
And we go out hiking
To talk by the river bends

When I stay up late with my sister
And our silliness is high
That I laugh so hard
I really want to cry

When my team and I win big
And we look at each other in disbelief
But we start to smile and giggle
Out of pure bliss and relief

When my mother and I are in the kitchen
And the oven is all aglow
And we start to laugh at our process
It's way better than any cooking show

When a song comes on the radio
And I remember a memory behind it
And I can't help but to laugh out loud
And for me to calm my smile, it takes a bit

When I'm lying in that grassy field
Watching the stars above
And my closest friends are by me
And I can feel all bliss and love

So here's a bit of advice, for on your own behalf
That every day just for a bit, take some time to laugh
