Happiness

© By MaryE Quinn

Happiness can come
And go so quickly.
Leaving us unaware of
Just what happened.
For true happiness is
All but fleeting moments.

We get but one life to live.
One brief moment
In endless time.
Of sometimes happiness
And sometimes sorrow.
And it is all up to us,
to make what we can of it.

A momentary
Moment of happiness,
In a space of time.
As a funny thought
Brings on laugher.
A friendly smile lights
Up your day.
A warm feeling of memories,
as it comes into your thoughts.
For happiness is all just
What we make of it.
