A day we will all remember,
Tested our American Pride,
Showed others we care,
A day to live in infamy, confined.
A day that showed love’s vast expanse,
Risks people take without a backward glance,
Someone out there always cares,
God’s love for me, revealed in dance.
September Eleventh, etched in our hearts,
Who I am today, it imparts,
Has changed each American heart,
Even if hidden, like secret arts.
Why was I here, left behind,
Not chosen to go, fate’s design,
A day to sense gratitude sublime,
Blessed by God, through the sands of time.
