A Year In D
My life spins on the letter D,
In 2006 there were, many D firsts.
Diabetes – thank God for doctors,
Depression – Thank you God for my new voice,
I have been silent too long.
Always standing in the shadow of others,
Watching, never speaking, never feeling anew.
Divine Love/God’s love.
My Wife’s love,
The love of my children,
Love of my church family,
The love of a friend.
Death of a President,
Death of a dictator,
Death of people in a war,
Death of my silent voice,
Death of this past year.
Alive, speaking and full of Grace,
Hello 2007.
