Going Nowhere

Going Nowhere

Parking lots back to back,
I can’t get in, I can’t get out.
People here and people there,
But don’t you know they’re going nowhere,
As fast as they can with no time to spare.

Only the birds are getting away,
Never too fast, never too slow,
Out of this parking lot they go.

Here I stay in this lot of confusion,
Can’t breathe, can’t move, can’t see ahead.
Father Father, I cry out,
Out of this place I need to be lead.

Here I surrender to my Father of peace,
Where purpose is found
And love’s all around.
As I submit, freedom rings,
Confusion departs,
Victory He brings.

God takes us from going nowhere,
And brings us in His love and His care.
