Holidays

The seasons change and fall is gone,
Winter comes in the early morning dawn.
Holidays approach with rapid pace,
Each minute is spent in a frenzied haste.

Shopping is done each chosen with care,
Forgetting someone we wouldn’t dare.
Last minute notes are checked with precision,
A sigh of relief on that final decision.

It’s late at night when there’s time to rest,
Thoughts occur of how we’re blessed.
A silent prayer to Him above,
His warmth, His love.
