Mountain Rise

Mountain Rise

If you stand upon the highest peak,
of the highest place in the world,
Can you dare to hope to grow,
Wings like eagles and soar above the earth.

To see the world as the clouds do,
Over the wonders of the earth,
Over places dear at heart,
Or of memories that cause you pain.

Things that make you cry and ache,
Or smile and laugh,
Can you feel a surge of power,
Like an energy field all it’s own.

As eyes turn upward to see,
You in all your glory.
In life can we achieve such splendor,
That through the struggles of our lives.

We can soar above our problems,
And find a reason to live,
Because when we step down from our mountain,
Things are not so clear, in the mist.

So rise to your feet.
As the mountain looms,
Glowing in her majesty.
A light for all to see.
