My Most Magnificent Obsession

My Most Magnificent Obsession

My most magnificent obsession were the most endearing words of love,
On letters and post cards you sent me.
They are now in a garden of memories,
Where my journey to blissful moments
Of laughter, love and tenderness comfort me.

You were a caring, loving husband,
An intriguing traveling companion,
And Dr. of Psychology to many.
I can still see your smile,
And the expression of delight,
When I held our first child.

Every so often when I pick up the phone,
I still hear you say I just called to say I love you.
We cultivated the beauty of freedom,
Yet individually we were intertwined by
The magic of our love from within.

Our gift shop was a wonderland
Of coo coo clocks and sparkling chimes
But no one could stop the hands of time.
I can still feel your arms around me,
As we danced to a waltz romantically,
In the reflection of twinkling lights lovingly.

The borrowed days we had,
Was an endless honeymoon of joy
Once lost in the dilemma of the past.
If It could only Last…
We traveled through many countries in Europe
Experienced different cultures, and saw coliseums,
Spectacular sites, and ancient ruins.

Nothing matched the love you had for me
When you’d say to your friends and family
This is my queen, my beloved
