MY VALENTINE WISH
My valentine wish for my sweetheart this year,
Is to give him some special Birthday cheer.
My darling and Cupid share this red-letter day,
But his new job has sent him to a place far away.
For six long months, miles kept us apart,
But we hope very soon to rejoin our hearts.
With monies so lacking and time’s rapid sly,
We pray for a windfall, so I’ll no longer cry.
To see my darling on his special day,
Would put two Valentine wishes at bay.
Happy Birthday to him is the Valentine for me,
Then two hearts once again get to share ecstasy.
