To My Mother

To My Mother

Whenever I cried,
You were there by my side.
When inside I died,
You were still by my side.

Through the wind, fire, and rain,
You wanted to take all my pain.
And when I was insane,
You still wanted all my pain.

So how do I say “Thank you”,
To a woman whose been my rescuer,
my comfort, my shelter, … my world?

They’re just two simple words,
So they could never be enough.
But when I think of what you’ve done for me,
It chokes me all up.

So all I can say is “Thank You”.
