Once again Valentines Day has arrived,
With butterflies inside, I’m truly alive.
As I sit here and contemplate,
It’s time to toss away all self-debate.
Muster the courage, tell you with pride,
My feelings are something I no longer hide.
Your long auburn hair waves in the breeze,
As you stroll on the beach by the sea, at ease.
A sigh escapes as the breeze does trace,
Gently, softly, across your grace-filled face.
Watching your movements, a picture of grace,
These moments are ones I cannot replace.
I dream of what might have been,
My eyes stuck on the picture from way back when.
I want to be honest, I want you to know,
Your beauty surpassed that of days long ago.
Someone asked me once, to name the time,
When our love began its sublime climb.
High and low, I tried to find,
That moment where your heart met mine.
Now as I close, I pine and pine,
Would you please be my Valentine?
