What Lies Beneath Me

What Lies Beneath Me

What lies beneath me is an empty space,
Aching breaking without a trace.
Yearning for something to fill that space.

What lies beneath me is an empty heart,
That was broken in the beginning from the start.

What lies beneath me is a love so strong,
That no one will be able to bear for that long.

What lies beneath me is a wonderful me,
That no one will understand and see.

Michelle Renee Evans.
